If you are wondering whether to rent a 4-wheel drive car or a regular passenger car, the answer depends on your plans. If you plan to drive only on main roads and don’t plan any shortcuts through unpaved roads, an ordinary car will be the optimal and cheaper solution. However, if you plan to explore the surrounding mountains, rivers or venture deep into the wilderness, a four-wheel drive car will be necessary.
