Course Details

Situations such as equipment failure, loss of consciousness underwater or decompression sickness are rather rare, especially if you follow the rules learned from previous diving courses. This does not mean, however, that they can not happen. Are you adequately prepared for such situations? PADI Rescue Diver course will teach you how to react in such situations and provide help without risking your health and life.

Our dive center also runs PADI Rescue Diver courses in Costa Rica to make sure our students have the right skills to handle any situation. We have prepared several scenarios of situations that can happen in real life. We will practice methods to deal with each of them and techniques to help those in need.

The course will begin with a theory class where you will learn new information about the physics of diving and potential hazards. You will then practice many new skills and techniques in the pool, so that the next day you can go out into the ocean and overcome dangerous situations in a simulated environment.

What to Expect

Before you decide to take the PADI Rescue Diver course at our dive center, there is one thing you need to know. From the very beginning you will be facing a big physical and mental effort. Despite the training conditions, we take the classes very seriously and try to simulate emergency situations so that they resemble what you may encounter in real life.

You will face stress and time pressure. Unexpected mishaps and accidents will occur during the training so that your reaction will be as natural as possible. The PADI Rescue Diver course is a path to becoming an informed diver. It is also an introduction to obtaining professional diving degrees. That is why we do not take shortcuts and we treat this training very seriously.

This will not be an easy course. However, once you complete it, your confidence in the water and underwater will rise to a new and much higher level. If you are serious about the safety of yourself and your partners, you need to become a rescue diver. There is no debate here.

What equipment will I be using on the rescue diver course?

During the PADI Rescue Diver course we will be using standard equipment for recreational divers. Since you will be using what you have most of the time in life, you need to learn how to use it.
