Ever since I discovered climbing and diving for myself, I knew it would be a never-ending adventure. That since there are so many interesting places above and below the water in the world, why not make it possible for everyone to see them. I have been a mountain climber and cave explorer most of my life and have had the honor of participating in many amazing exploration expeditions. I have been professionally involved in scuba diving and dive training for more than a dozen years now.
At Costa Rica Divers, I am the manager and chief instructor. We take great care of the quality of training, so I personally teach or supervise all dive courses. Dive and snorkel tours led by our guides and Divemasters are also directly coordinated by me. You are in good hands!

We take great pride in being an accredited PADI diving center. This accreditation signifies not only our commitment to providing exceptional services and training, but also our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of technical and logistical preparation. Attaining the status of a PADI dive center requires meeting rigorous requirements and consistently delivering services of the utmost quality. When selecting a suitable location for your scuba diving course, you can trust that PADI dive centers are the right choice.
Not everyone has the capacity to meet the stringent requirements of an accredited dive center, and there may be various limitations that prevent them from doing so. In such cases, they may opt for a lower status known as a dive resort. What does this mean for you as a customer? Let me provide you with an example – while a small local store may be pleasant, when you require a comprehensive shopping experience, you prefer a well-equipped establishment. Similarly, choosing an accredited dive center ensures that you have access to a wide range of resources and services, offering you a more comprehensive and fulfilling diving experience.
Being a PADI accredited dive center ensures a commitment to providing exceptional service and reliable technical support. The accreditation process involves multiple steps that validate the delivery of high-quality services. It’s important to note that the PADI dive center status is valid for one year, and we undergo regular renewals to maintain our commitment to excellence. This ensures consistency and gives customers the reassurance that they have made the right choice. To verify the current status and level of a dive school, you can visit the PADI website, where updated information is available.

The instructor’s license is another crucial aspect to consider. Every instructor responsible for conducting diving courses must possess a valid instructor’s license, which requires annual renewal. This ensures that the training provided maintains a high standard and remains aligned with industry best practices. Similar to dive center licenses, instructors also hold different certification levels, allowing them to teach courses at various proficiency levels. At Costa Rica Divers, we offer training across all levels, starting from basic courses and extending to specialized areas like night diving, ultimately leading to the professional PADI Divemaster certification. Do you have a good insurance?
Accidents can happen even in paradise and that sucks. That’s why it’s so important to have good insurance to keep you covered under and above the water.
