The price of the Cano Island diving tour includes complete scuba equipment, two tanks and the care of a guide. This will make your diving experience enjoyable and safe. What is the trip to Caño Island like?

At the beginning we will greet you with a bottle of water or a cup of coffee, so we can calmly discuss the entire plan and fill out the necessary documents. We will discuss the plan of the whole day, where we will go, what attractions await us there and what will be the order of individual activities during the trip.

After completing all the necessary formalities, we will select and pack your equipment. We use only proven and fully tested equipment, which is disinfected and checked after each use. After packing the equipment we will head to our boat.

How do you get from Uvita to Cano Island?

All snorkeling trips from Uvita begin at Marino Ballena National Park. This is a great opportunity to see two national parks in one day! All park fees are included in the price of the snorkeling tour.

The Cano Island is about 50 minutes from the beach in Uvita and you will cover this distance by fast boat. There is no other way to get to the island.

Once there, you will have the opportunity to dive and see the amazing underwater world. During the break there will be time for snacks and relaxation on the paradise beach.

At the end of the day, we will return to the Costa Rica Divers office where we will have time to discuss our scuba diving experience and beautiful Isla del Cano.

How much does it cost to dive on Caño Island in Costa Rica?

All of our scuba dive tours prices are listed on this page. Prices for diving trips to Caño Island start at $169 per person. The price includes all necessary equipment, guide, snacks, drinks, boat transportation and entrance ticket to the national park. Prices may vary depending on the season and additional customer requests. If you want to rent a private boat, please contact us so we can prepare the best possible offer for you. Do I need to be an experienced diver to dive on Caño Island?

The answer is simple: no. You do not need to be an experienced diver, although having a diver’s license gives us more opportunities and allows us to dive in places inaccessible to beginners. However, you don’t need any experience to dive on Caño Island. Our instructors will show you all the basics and will be close to you throughout the dive. When is the best time for scuba diving on Caño Island?

The scuba diving season in Costa Rica starts in December and lasts until June. This is therefore the best time for a Cano Island diving tour. During this time, the conditions for diving are perfect and the water temperature stays between 24-29°C (75-84°F). Visibility underwater reaches up to 30 m (98 ft).

During the rainy season, conditions change and the water temperature drops. However, many interesting animals can be seen during this period, so the diving season on Caño Island lasts practically all year round.
