Diving, like any recreational activity, involves the potential risk of injury or accident. And while statistics make it clear that scuba diving is very safe, good insurance against accidents will allow you to sleep with peace of mind.
Divers Alert Network (DAN) is the world’s most recognized and respected dive safety organization. Our dive center, Costa Rica Divers is proud to partner with DAN to promote safety in all aquatic and tourist activities. All our students participating in diving courses are covered by DAN insurance for the duration of the course completely free of charge. All this to make your diving experience in Costa Rica even better.
DAN insurance covers your medical and transportation costs around the world and is simply a must have for any diver and non-diver. DAN also offers travel insurance, so if you don’t plan to dive we have a good travel insurance deal for you as well. Just check out below what cool insurance packages are available to you!
Remember that accident insurance, especially abroad, is very important. For a small fee, you can avoid a lot of problems and additional costs in the event of any incident. Remember, too, that most standard travel insurance you may already have usually does not cover diving accidents. This is different with DAN insurance.
To join DAN World, you must reside in a country belonging to one of the DAN World regions: Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific or Australia. If you live in another country, coverage is provided by one of DAN’s other international units. To locate a DAN international office in your region, check the details on the DAN website.
The minimum age for coverage is 8, and the maximum age is 70.
All recreational water activities, including snorkeling and freediving, are covered by DAN insurance.
