Yes, you need to have prior diving experience to start the PADI Divemaster course. To be eligible, you must have at least a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent from another recognized agency) and a minimum of 40 logged dives. Additionally, you’ll need to have a PADI Rescue Diver certification and provide proof of current emergency first aid and CPR training. If you’re not yet at these requirements, you can complete the necessary courses with us before starting your Divemaster internship in Costa Rica.
