Had a great trip to Cano Island Reserve with Costa Rica Divers. Two dives and a visit to the island allowed me to see first hand the beauty of our oceans.
Great dive center! Peter is a really good instructor, our group completed the dives for our certificates with him. I had 8 dives with Peter and his crew at Caño Island. Highly recommended!
We completed our open water certification with Piotr and it was such a great experience! He’s very knowledgeable and made the course fun. We will definitely come back to dive with him again.

Ever since I discovered climbing and diving for myself, I knew it would be a never-ending adventure. That since there are so many interesting places in the world, above and below the water, why not make it possible for everyone to see them.
At Costa Rica Divers, I am the manager and chief instructor. We care very much about the quality of training, so I personally teach or supervise all dive courses. Dive expeditions led by our guides and Divemasters are also directly coordinated by me. You are in good hands!

No! We don’t like hidden fees either, so all our prices are final. The price always includes diving fees, rental of complete diving equipment, entrance to the national park, boat transportation, guide service and all local taxes. You do not have to pay any additional costs. Only, if you see fit, you can leave a tip for the staff. That’s all.
The answer is simple: no. You do not need to be an experienced diver, although having a diver’s license gives us more opportunities and allows us to dive in places inaccessible to beginners. However, you don’t need any experience to dive on Caño Island. Our instructors will show you all the basics and will be close to you throughout the dive. Such classes are called Discover Scuba Diving and this is where you can start your diving adventure in Costa Rica. You can read more about DSD here: Caño Island Try Dive
The scuba diving season in Costa Rica starts in December and lasts until June. This is therefore the best time for a Cano Island diving tour. During this time, the conditions for diving are perfect and the water temperature stays between 24-29°C (75-84°F). Visibility underwater reaches up to 30 m (98 ft). During the rainy season, conditions change and the water temperature drops. However, many interesting animals can be seen during this period, so the diving season on Caño Island lasts practically all year round.
